The worse one is, that the gates of most European snowparks will only open with the arrival of December. But the good news is that there are exceptions! A few European snowparks start the season already in October and November! And we have mapped them for you, so that you can plan where and when you should move with your board or skis. See ya there!
HINTERTUX SNOWPARK OPENING
WHEN? 30. September – 3. October 2022
The snowpark on the Hintertux glacier traditionally opens the season first in Europe, so that riders from all over the world can come to enjoy the start of the winter season already in early autumn. Write down the date September 30 - October 3 in your calendar. By default, it will be in style. Betterpark Hintertux offers lines for riders of all levels, from beginners to professionals. There is something for everyone, including halfpipe lovers. In addition to the actual riding, you can look forward to the amazing accompanying events. If you dare to, you can ride at the first Big Air Session of this year called WERNI´S BIG AIR SESSION BY QUIKSILVER, and if not, at least it will be a really cool thing to see. For the jib freaks SANE! METAL BATTLE NIGHT RAIL JAM will be ready and for junior shredders there will be a KIDS SHRED, coached by pro riders such as Wolle Nyvelt, Gigi Rüf or our team rider Steve Gruber. There will also be a 2022/2023 snowboard gear test, Movie Premiere Night, and we don't even need to remind you the legendary Opening Parties, do we?

KAUNERTAL SNOWPARK OPENING
WHEN? 15. - 16. October & 19. - 20. November 2022
This year, Kaunertal Opening 2022 follows the motto: "Enjoy the mountains responsibly!". The aim of this concept is to manage natural resources sustainably. Snowpark Kaunertal has been built on glacier-free terrain from natural snow or from old snow reserves for many years. However, the volume of fallen natural snow is decreasing compared to previous years, and that is why the Kaunertal snowpark is coming up with a new concept for its opening. They divided it into two autumn weekends – October 15-16 & November 19-20. And you definitely do not want to miss any of these events. So what can you look forward to? On October 15th - 16th, the Jib'n' Playground Edition is prepared for you at the Deluxe Jib Park, where you can ride and earn some beer money in Cash 4 Tricks. In addition, snowskate enthusiasts will also have their own session.

In November, get ready for round 2 at the 1st Kaunertal Testival & Snowpark Day. You can look forward not only to cool sessions in the snowpark, but also to the first big test session of snowboard and ski gear from the world's top snow and ski brands, where you will be able to try the latest models for free in great conditions. DJ's will complete the atmosphere throughout the weekend and there will also be side events such as Pumptrack Parkour, Skate Ramp, Balance Board Park and Movie Premiere Night.

STUBAI ZOO SNOWPARK OPENING
WHEN? 4. - 6. November 2022
Another big expected opening will take place at the beginning of November, specifically on the 4th - 6th on the Stubai Glacier. The well-known snowpark Stubai Zoo has prepared for you, in addition to chill park sessions, an accompanying program in the form of testing the latest equipment from more than 30 well-known snowboard and freeski brands, various side events and, of course, a huge afterparty.
